Kadu Malleshwara and Nandi Teertha Temple

One of the oldest temple in Bangalore located in Malleswaram 17th cross.
Mallikarjuna temple built on a huge rock. There is huge peeple tree and Subramanya idol. One part of the temple, Nandikeshwara Theertha Kalyani (Basava Theertha) is in front of the temple. It is said to be the main source or birthplace of the Vrishabhavathi River. The Kalyani's entrance faces to the south. The speciality here is that Basava & Shivalinga do not face to the south and there is no Basava in front of the Shivalinga but instead it is on the upper part of it. And the no body knows from where the water comes in Nandi's mouth, which is continuosly flowing.

This temple is also surrounded by other temples like Ganga temple and Narasimha temple.

An evening visit is pleasant.

Below are some images which I took.
